6 Ways We Make Our Clear Aligners and Braces Affordable

At Vanderwall Orthodontics, we believe that every part of getting a new smile should be a breeze — including the cost. We’re dedicated to making sure the cost of your Invisalign® or braces affordable to work for your budget. Affordability shouldn’t hold you back from achieving the healthy, confident smile you’ve always wanted! We want to help our patients navigate their braces cost or Invisalign cost with ease.

Now, it’s safe to say that orthodontic treatment isn’t one-size-fits all. Whether for braces or clear aligner treatment like Invisalign, your treatment plan at VanderWall Orthodontics is based on your specific orthodontic issues and smile goals, so the cost is as unique as your treatment plan.

With that in mind, here are six ways we ensure you feel comfortable with the personalized cost of your braces or Invisalign treatment with us.

Complimentary Initial Consultation

Every smile transformation at VanderWall Orthodontics starts with a complimentary initial consultation at our Raleigh, Cary, or Durham office. We understand orthodontic treatment is a big decision, so your first consultation gives you all the information you need to move forward with confidence and clarity.

At your free initial consultation, we take free digital x-rays and show you around our welcoming, family-friendly office. Dr. Clay VanderWall does an in-depth examination and uses his findings together with your x-rays to recommend the best orthodontic treatment options for you and answer your questions.

Typically, the more serious your issues with crowding, gapping, underbite, overbite or crossbite, the longer your treatment takes. The level of correction you need also determines whether braces will get you the best results or clear aligners like Invisalign. For braces, we offer three types of modern braces which have varying price points: streamlined metal braces, clear ceramic braces, or InBrace® lingual braces which attach behind your teeth.

Early Orthodontic Evaluations and Growth Guidance

Now if you’re wondering, how about orthodontic care for young children? You might have heard that the American Association of Orthodontists recommends seven years old as a great age for your child’s first orthodontic visit. At VanderWall Orthodontics, we fully agree that an early evaluation is important and is also complimentary.

An early orthodontic visit doesn’t always mean your child needs early orthodontic treatment right away. Rather, an initial visit at a young age gives you and Dr. VanderWall a clear signpost for your child’s orthodontic development. Then as your child grows, regular visits help us keep tabs on any issues that might develop. This way, if treatment is needed it can be started at the optimal time.

Choosing Your Best Treatment

Deciding which treatment option to go with is a balance of choosing which appliance will result in your best smile, fit your lifestyle, and is priced to fit your budget. Our treatment coordinator will go over your treatment fees so you have a clear understanding right from the start.

Take however long you need to decide how to move forward with your orthodontic care and what’s affordable for you. However, if you’re ready to start right away, we can move ahead with diagnostics for your custom smile without having to make a second appointment.

Flexible Financing For Your Budget

Bottom line: How much do braces cost and how much is Invisalign? Figuring out your orthodontic financing can be daunting so our experienced financial coordinators will walk through the financials with you to figure out a payment plan. Not only do we want our patients to experience enjoyable and efficient treatment, we believe your Invisalign or braces cost should be as affordable, stress-free and convenient as possible.

If you have several family members going through orthodontic treatment, we have a family discount that will lower the cost of braces or Invisalign. In addition, we offer an in-office monthly payment plan with 0% financing and low monthly installments for your monthly Invisalign cost or braces. For traditional metal braces, you can also take advantage of our no down payment option. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, personal checks and cash.

Insurance Coverage

Many of our patients ask, “Does insurance cover braces? How about the cost of Invisalign?” You’ll be happy to know that at VanderWall Orthodontics, we accept most insurance coverage and we’ll even file claims and do the paperwork for you so you have an expert eye on your orthodontic benefits.

If you haven’t looked into your orthodontic coverage before, it’s worth it to familiarize yourself with your plan. Some only cover orthodontics for dependents 18 years old and under. Coverage for adult braces or Invisalign is becoming more popular but not as common as coverage for kids. We also suggest checking if your insurance requires you to let them know in advance of your treatment — it’s not uncommon for insurance companies to refuse coverage for orthodontics that have already started.

Lower Your Final Balance With Your FSA or HSA

Whether you’re looking into the cost for traditional metal braces, ceramic braces cost, invisible braces cost, or the cost of Invisalign, you can use your FSA or HSA dollars to reduce your out-of-pocket fees. We’ll help you through the process to make sure all the boxes are ticked and all your paperwork is in order.
